Say whaaaaaaaaat??? Well, this is mind-boggling. Say whaaaaaaaaat???

Well, this is mind-boggling.

We’re super excited to share that we’ve received the honor of being named one of Junebug’s Best of The Best Destination Photo Contest winners! 😮😮😮

Wild. Like, truly.

Some of our absolute photography (s)heroes are in this collection and being ranked alongside them feels surreal quite honestly. (Imposter Syndrome is SCREAMING that someone CLEARLY made a mistake! 😂).

This image means a LOT to us.

Not because it’s badass as heck! And not just because those corgis are too darned cute for words!

But because we know how hard Andie and Maci fought to be standing there together on their wedding day.

They’d already had to completely reschedule once due to Maci getting deployed, and then they so very nearly had to give it all up again just days before due to her military commitments. But the Universe called in some favors and made it happen!!

And so these two wonderful human beings managed to spend this special time together - adventuring, exploring, making memories and getting flipping MARRIED - before Maci was went overseas for several months.

Maci now has these photos on her nightstand until she gets to come home to her family. 🥹

And, well, that matters to us. That’s the kind of meaning this job truly carries. It’s SO much more than just creating cool images.

Huge thank you to @junebugweddings and this years judges: @adventureandvow, @axioo and @froydisgeithus

And big congrats to all the winners, what inspiration!!

Thinking about bringing your kiddo to your elopeme Thinking about bringing your kiddo to your elopement? Read this!

We’ve had quite a few couples this year bring their wee kiddos to their elopement and we’re all for it. They’re at the core of your beautiful family and you WANT them there at the moment you make it official, of course you do.

But kids add another level of complexity to the day, so there are inevitably some things to take into consideration as part of your elopement planning.

Here’s our top advice for making it a fun rather than stressful experience:

- work your timeline around your kiddo’s natural energy patterns. For example, don’t plan your ceremony when they’d normally be napping, or they’re gonna be grouchy!

- choose a location that is kid friendly. A 2yr old and a 10 mile hike (generally!) don’t go hand in hand. Cliff edges and tearaway toddlers DEFINITELY don’t go hand in hand!

- consider having an extra pair of hands (and eyes!) on site to help you look after little one. This could mean bringing someone with you or it could mean hiring someone in the location you’re headed to. This will give you room to breath and relax, and it will allow us to get some amazing photos of just the two of you!

- if at all possible, take some of the day JUST for the two of you. Parenting is exhausting and you need a break! Even a little hour or two will allow you to slow down, focus on you and your love and really let the magic of the day sink in. Without worrying if wee Jimmy is hurtling towards aforementioned cliff edge....

- try to involve your kiddo in some way, giving them a little job or role to help them feel meaningful in the proceedings. For example, if they’re old enough they could be your ring bearer. Or they could draw little vow books for you!

What questions do you have about bringing your kiddo to your elopement? Ask us in the comments...

Kellie and Reyna met on match.com, and for their f Kellie and Reyna met on match.com, and for their first date, Reyna drove almost three hours over a crazy mountain pass to meet Kellie. They fell in love quickly, having a lot in common both personally and professionally: they were both in the education field, and loved video games, camping, and travel.

After being together for just a few months, Reyna revealed to Kellie and their close community that she was transgender, and she began her transition with Kellie’s full support.

Although Kellie didn’t identify as queer before meeting Reyna, she found ease in Reyna’s transition. Here are Kellie’s own words on that stage of their relationship:

“When I say this, it always surprises people, but the transition wasn’t hard at all. I loved Reyna, and that’s all that mattered to me. That’s also how I came to understand what pansexual is, and that is what I identify as now.”

They were married a year and a half later on December 19, 2020 - a pandemic affair with 30 guests in person and another 50 watching on Facebook live. Although they felt that their flower- and light-filled party fit them well as a couple, at the time Reyna was still very new to presenting as a woman, and she hadn’t quite found her own style and aesthetic yet.

For this styled shoot, she wanted to wear a different dress, so we jumped at the chance to provide a new dress of her choosing. She wanted ‘romantic and flowy’ and we’d say she nailed it!

It was so joyful to see Reyna swooshing her dress in the evening glow of sunlight, smiling radiantly at Kellie and so evidently happy in her own skin. Kellie wore her original wedding dress, which her mom made for her, and she was simply glowing, too.

Diana and Marcos’ 3 day elopement adventure! Diana and Marcos’ 3 day elopement adventure!

Diana and Marcos truly made the most of every moment their elopement experience had to offer and we LOVE that.

We first met them for a killer sunset session in Canyonlands National Park. The wind was HOWLING, but Diana’s light flowing dress with a long, dramatic train was MADE for this moment!

The next day was a ‘just us’ adventure, where the 4 of us enjoyed a sunrise hike up to one of our favorite arches. Diana and Marcos shared private vows, read letters from family and enjoyed their morning coffee tradition.

Peep Diana’s gorgeous second dress: with its long, puffed sleeves it was a nod to her Filipino heritage. (Both of her dresses were gifted from family members, btw, which we thought was just the sweetest!)

On their third and final day, we met with close family and friends for their ceremony in Arches National Park, it was finally time to get these two MARRIED! We wrapped up with another amazing sunset session, once again with a full-on wind making magic with Diana’s dress!

This was truly such an epic adventure, one we’ll never forget!

Wanna elope in Colorado? Colorado is one of Wanna elope in Colorado?

Colorado is one of the most popular places in the US to elope, and with good reason.

As elopement photographers, we’ve got endless reasons for you to choose Colorado, but here are our top 3:

⛰️ Unparalleled scenery: mountains, desert, forest, ALL of it!

💍 Easy to navigate marriage laws: you don’t even need an officiant!

💐 It’s suuuuuuuper dog friendly (MAJOR win in our books).

However, planning even a small wedding - something as seemingly simple as an elopement - can soon feel overwhelming, we know...

So bringing in a local pro (👋🏻 oh hey, hi!) to help you is a great first step!

We’ve gonna help you plan this whoooooole shindig and keep it as easy as can be, so you can kick back and actually ENJOY the whole process!

We have a few select dates left for this Summer and Fall and are officially opening our books for Summer 2026!
