When we first chatted to Jessica and Andrew, we remember advising them to really treat their elopement day as something special. So many people think of eloping as ‘lesser’ and therefore not as worthy of celebration as a ‘normal’ wedding. This couldn’t be further from the truth and we’re SO happy J&A took our advice to heart! They really took the time to plan out a day of DREAMS.

We started their adventure bright and early with a romantic first look and private vows at a quiet spot in Canyonlands National Park with incredible views out to the La Sal Mountains. The sunrise was spectacular and made for the most peaceful start to the day.

From there, we met with J&A’s family for a beautiful heartfelt ceremony at the Green River Overlook. There’s only a handful of spots where you’re allowed to get married in the park and this is by far our favorite! The views over the canyons are mid-blowing and it tends to be a really quiet spot, allowing for a large degree of privacy for your ceremony.

After exploring a bit more of the park, everyone headed to Sorrel River Ranch for a yummy lunch overlooking the Colorado River. J&A had worked with an Etsy artist to create personalized cake toppers of their 4 doggos and they were ADORABLE!!

To round up the day, J&A said goodbye to their guests and headed out for a private sunset plane tour with Red Tail Adventures. Seeing the Moab area from above is such an epic experience and a really great way to make your elopement day as special as can be! We landed in the middle of NOWHERE, overlooking a remote canyon and J&A shared the sweetest first dance with not another soul in sight.
