Ditch the wed-stress!!

Meagan and Hunter were originally planning a big, traditional wedding but were feeling so overwhelmed and stressed by it all that they decided to at least investigate the idea of eloping.

After our first call together, Meagan told us that it felt like a weight had been lifted, she couldn’t stop smiling and it felt like their wedding day was something to look forward to and get excited about again!

YES!!! 

For M&H, Ouray in Colorado holds a special place in their hearts so it was a no-brainer that they would elope there. And given that Jeeping is one of their biggest hobbies, you bet we hit up some epic off-road trails!

The morning of their elopement, we set off in the dark, aiming for a 13k’ mountain pass. But an unexpected snow storm rolled in and forced a pivot to a lower-elevation Plan B. M&H took the change so graciously and just went with the flow all day long. The perfect attitude if you’re going to elope in the great outdoors!

Their day was PERFECT: we explored a lower area for sunrise, then started to head on up the higher pass once the weather cleared up. After a beautiful family ceremony and celebrations, M&H continued on and found the most stunning spot to share their emotional private vows. They then rounded up their day checking out the beautiful fall colors and getting killer shots with their trusted Jeep!

Our favorite memory from the day? Hunter, upon seeing Meagan for the first time: 

“I wish we had a chauffeur coz I just want to look at you all day long!”
