Courtney and Tyler’s elopement day was the perfect example of how pivoting to a Plan B shouldn’t be considered a bad thing!⁠

Courtney and Tyler eloped in the Zion National Park area, which got hit with heavy, heavy rain in the days preceding. Actually, right up until 2am on the morning of their elopement day it was dumping down!⁠

The rain caused some massive rock falls, and the road to their Plan A location was closed. But no stress! We’d been keeping a keen eye on the national park websites alerts so found out this info in plenty of time to put our Plan B into action.⁠

We ended up going to Snow Canyon State Park for sunrise, which was spectacular. The rocks GLOWED red as the first light hit them.

We then headed up the main valley of Zion National Park to hold their family ceremony at The Temple of Sinawava. For more information about eloping in Zion, you can check out our Ultimate Utah Elopement Guide.

We wrapped up their beautiful day at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park where they shared their personal vows, enjoyed some impromptu sand boarding and soaked in the most gorgeous sunset.

What a day! And can we all just agree these Plan B locations are STUNNING?!⁠

Courtney and Tyler were so chill and go with the flow, and their day was a total blast. These two are goofy AF (their words, not ours!) and it was laugh-a-minute all day long. When they started out looking for a photographer, they were worried they were going to have to ‘behave themselves’ in front of the camera, but after their first Zoom chat with us they knew they were going to be juuuuuuuust fine! Goofy is welcome here.⁠

Honestly, every personality type is welcome here!⁠ And if you wanna go sand boarding on your elopement day, you better believe we’re gonna make that happen for you.⁠
