When Texas Comes To Moab…

Stacy and Shane travelled up to the Utah desert all the way from Texas with their two best friends, to celebrate their marriage amongst the red rocks of Moab.⁠ Their day was filled with so many sweet moments (as well as a lot of raucous laughter and ‘inappropriate’ jokes… Team Texas you tried hard, but you can’t shock us!).

We met Stacy and Shane at their riverside cabin at the incredible Red Cliffs Lodge in a stunning valley just outside of Moab, just as they were finishing up getting ready. Stacy looked AMAZING in her Rue de Seine wedding dress and white cowboy boots. And we loved Shane’s smart-casual mix of jeans with a beautiful light tan jacket and cowboy hat.⁠ The colorful florals by the uber-talented Tangled Sage gave both their outfits the perfect little ‘pop’!

We started off on a little private Jeeping adventure, disappearing down one of Moab’s many dirt tracks, so Stacy and Shane could share their personal vows just the two of them. They also took time to read sentimental letters from their loved ones back home, as a way of feeling their presence on such a special day.⁠ This made for the most magical start to their day and really set the tone.

Then we picked up their friends and headed off into the middle of nowhere for their ceremony! Stacy’s best friend walked her down the aisle, and both friends shared their best advice for a long and happy marriage as part of the ceremony, some of which was sweet and romantic…. Some of which should never be repeated!

We wrapped up their beautiful day with sunset photos and CELEBRATIONS: Stacy and Shane cut their cake by the talented Sweet Serendipity and they all enjoyed enjoyed a shot (or two or three!) from their custom hip flasks!⁠

Sunset was just incredible with that beautiful soft light that photographers lose their minds over. The light shining through Stacy’s veil was to die for…. And, ooooh, scroll to the bottom to see the custom sticker on the bottom of her boots, sooooo cute!
