A Non-Traditional, Off-Roading Elopement Deep In The Colorado Mountains

⁠Kaity & James LOVE going off-roading in their decked out vehicle: it’s more than just a hobby for them, it’s a total way of life. Every chance they get, they’re disappearing into the backcountry to camp, slow life down and connect in nature.⁠

So, it was an absolute no brainer that this was how they would spend their wedding day!⁠
⁠
They packed up their vehicle with everything they’d need to be self sufficient for a few days – including their sweet pup Rooney, ESSENTIAL for this mission – and came on over to western Colorado.⁠
⁠
We hit up some of our favorite locations with them, sharing stories of everyone’s adventures along the way. ⁠
⁠
After a peaceful sunrise, they whipped up a killer French toast breakfast, before soaking in the views and letting Rooney sniff to her heart’s content.⁠

In the evening, we held their ceremony – which was laughs and tears in equal measure – then their Rooney signed their marriage license. They wrapped up their day eating cake off the back of their vehicle and enjoying a sunset first dance as the world slowed down around them.⁠

And, of course, we made sure to get some killer star shots with their beloved vehicle, before leaving them to set up camp for the night! ⁠

Imagine waking up in the wild the next morning… What a perfect start to married life.⁠
