A Moab elopement of epic proportions!

Diana and Marcos spent three days exploring the Utah desert, taking time for themselves as well as celebrating with their loved ones.

Diana and Marcos truly made the most of every moment their elopement day(s) had to offer and we LOVE that.⁠ Don’t be afraid to ‘go big or go home’ when it comes to your elopement. After all, the memories that you make have to last you a LIFETIME together, so spreading things out over a couple of days, taking it slow, checking out multiple cool locations and truly immersing yourself in the whole experience is the best thing you can possibly do. We especially advise this if you’re bringing loved ones along: set aside some time to truly dedicate to just the two of you, then designated time where your energy will be focussed on your guests and their experience, too.

We first met Diana and Marcos for a killer sunset session in Canyonlands National Park. The wind was absolutely HOWLING, but Diana’s light flowing dress with a long, dramatic train was MADE for this moment!⁠ The way it billowed in the wind made for spectacular photos, that simply wouldn’t happen without the ‘bad weather’ working in our favor. After a sweet first look, they scampered around the clifftops, soaking in the views and appreciating the magic of the landscape around them. Looking out from Canyonlands across the vast ‘nothingness’ truly feels like you’re living in an oil painting, like how is this even REAL?!

The next day was a ‘just for us’ adventure, where the four of us enjoyed a sunrise hike up to one of our favorite arches. As the daylight broke, Diana and Marcos shared romantic private vows, read letters from family and enjoyed their tradition of making morning coffee together. ⁠This whole morning was truly a special time of peace, adventure and connection.

Peep Diana’s gorgeous second dress: with its long, puffed sleeves it was a nod to her Filipino heritage. (Both of her dresses were gifted from family members, btw, which we thought was just the sweetest!)⁠.

Oh, and a moment for the personal little details: a delicate invitation suite with the prettiest dried flower wax seal, custom camp coffee mugs… And the best/cutest/funniest garter we’ve seen!!

That afternoon, after their hike, Diana and Marcos’ guests all arrived and it was time to welcome them and make sure they were all settled in.

On the third and final day, we met with everyone for a beautiful family ceremony in Arches National Park, it was finally time to get these two MARRIED! Diana’s dad walked her down the ‘aisle’ and both of their siblings and close friends helped with a handfasting ritual and a traditional lasso ceremony. We love it when couples actively involve their guests, it makes it feel so personal and special.

After the ceremony and family photos, we snuck Diana and Marcos away for a quick 30 minutes and wrapped up with another amazing sunset session in the heart of Arches, once again with a full-on wind making magic with Diana’s dress!⁠ From there, they rejoined their guests for dinner at Josie Wyatt’s in Moab, where they booked a private room to enjoy a casual reception.

These three days truly made for such an epic adventure, one we’ll never forget! Congrats Diana and Marcos, we hope your hearts are jam-packed with good memories from your time in Moab!
